My dearest Fanny,

Your letter to be###(there is a tear here) and Shure was glad to here from my little swee. I glad to know your headache is all gone but sorry on the other hand that you have a sore thumb(?). But I hope till you receive this letter you will be all ok.

As this is Friday Evve and just had a dandy bath and got all fired up so I will look nice and clean for Saturday. Felt in a (tear here)…was a little after Sene whe(tear here) through at the store. This #####(tear here). Yes dear there is  many times I sit and think of you and shure(sic) enough if you were here we would be together all the time.

I think this Sunday Eve Sister and I will be at your aunt’s house to play cards and she wants us to come over for supper but we don’t know if we will go up for supper. Perhaps after supper. Yes dear. I hope I can get off next month so I can come down to Kansas to see you and the rest of the folks. So they can see me in the right light. So they can know who I am. And if they think I will be right for their daughter.

Well I will see what my bro has to say in his next letter if cause you shall know all. Well dear, I thought you were going to talk to your pop(?) and Mom about me but from what you wrote you did not get to talk much to him on account of you being so busy.

Well dear I glad you were satisifed with the time we had together.

Will dear you will have plenty of time to get your things ready.

Dear you are a regular Schauffer(?) dining(?) from early am till late at nighttime. It as funny thing all them ###(?) you were around with and still I was not there.

Well I glad you had a good time if cause I know how you feel the next day. That is to bad in one way that you can sing this Sunday. I know they are disappointed that you can’t be there because I think you have a dandy voice.

Dear I got a check from my sotkc that will half(sic) to pay towards going into the #####(?). What do you say. I wrote you what my sister said and sister and I expect a letter tomorrow from home and will let you know if there is anything  interesting.

I told my sister Bertha to write to you so you can look for a ltter from home. I know she will write as soon as she has time. Well dear I am so tired I can’t keep my eye open so I must make this letter short and hoping this finds you in the best of health and you can expect the same of me.

Best regards to the folks, and love and kisses to you from your one and only

Dave.
