My Dearest Fanny,

Your fat juicy letter to hand of Oct 28th and as usual enjoyed the contents. I also glad to know you are well. I also hope you received my letter by this time. So you will be happy. And not lonesome + blue. There is one consolation when you are blue + and lonesome that I know. And the same with me. That we care + cry much for each other. In other words, we love each other and it is a great thing when a couple get mated right. What do you say dear. Honest I got brand new paper. You must excuse some of the last letter I wrote. The paper was of all varieties, but it was the only paperer I had and I knew very well you wanted to here from your lover regardless the paper.

Know I had payday and bought some new paper so I can wi##(?) ###(?) how sw###(?). I can write to my dear.

I was out to Tante tonight to get the vacuum cleaner and had to go over to Schorman. If cause when I reached Tante house there was a whole house full of people and I stayed about 30 minutes. Miss Freeberg + Mrs Sammish was(sic.) there. I had understood Sunday that they leave Tuesday, but that stay till Wednesday and leave tomorrow night and said if I come down to Kansas I should come see them.

Well then I was read to leave so Mrs. Schorman+ Mrs. Martins + Sister and Gerald said they were ready to go so they got into the Ford so I took them home.

Dear I see the painting at Tante tonight very sweet just like you. If you were here I think I would kiss you 10-11 times and make up for lost time. Know don’t you wish you were here just look what you are missing.

Dear I want to tell you something funny. I got your letter at noon time had my lunch and come home and read your letter and it cause when I let for the store I forgot your letter. If cause I only missed it after I was at the market awhile then I called up Mrs. White and asked her if I left a letter at the house so she looked and say yes. Well I said I did not know if I had lost it on the street or what had become of it.

Well I said Ms White, you take care of it. So she said “Should I read It”. Well, I said “If you feel you ought to read it, alright”, she said “I will look after it but I will not read it”, but I know better if she did not read that letter I will give her lots of credit but I know better. Of course this letter was very small and not much of any interest so I don’t care so much but some or the most I shure keep them locked away in my trunk.

Today it was cold and I was very busy and Sunday we had about the same weather you had. I am glad you wrote to my sister. I know she will write you a dandy letter. Enclosed my cousins letter. Night dear, I can’t keep my eyes open any longer  so I must bring this letter to a close. Trusting you are well + happy and you can expect the same from me. Best & kindest regards to the folks. I am as ever.

Dear old lover + D###

From Dave

Xxxxxx for you.
