My dearest Fanny,

Your most welcome letter to hand and shure was glad to here from you. Your letter of Dec 7th rec’d and shure did enjoy it. I glad dear you are well and happy and from what Miss Josephine said you shure must be looking good. Well I am very proud of you for I shure do think the world and all of you.

Sunday Dr. Weil son said to me Dave you are going to be one of us and I said yes. Well he said I waited 2 years and 3 month till I get married and he said I was a fool. So he said don’t wait so long because you sure will regret it. now I will tell you what his wife said. She said Dave it make it bad because your girl is so far away. She said all the time Dr went with me or we went together we seen each other 7 night a week and 2 matinee and she said the beauty of that is when you take your best girl out she always must have nice clothes and always new clothes and you don’t have to pay for them and that is the pleasure you have. But when you are married you must pay for them you selfe this way when you are going with her you have the pleasure of seeing her in nice clothes byt you don’t have to pay fo rhtem. Honey I guess you will understand what she mean. It hard to write those thing that is her way of looking at it if cause I wish you were here but you now I love you. Just as much with your house dress on as I do when you have your very best, that is your Dave. If cause I like to see well dressed people but I do hate to see one dressed well and is half crusty or dirty. I much rather see one clean and have poor clothes on. You see some of these bird-all dressed up and the dirt is thick under the swell clothes.

Now dear I was over to Fuente and Dave and his wife was there and I seen him about the ring and he going to call us up tomorrow and let me know. Funte and Uncle Mike send their best.

Honey I was glad to get and offer Bertha and why say anything. I am home that was nice of Ben, thank him for me. So they still want to now who that fellow was. I had a letter from Irene enclose read some. I also had a letter from home and I must write. They wrote a very small letter they said no news. Did sister send you the clipping. It very cold out to night and i must close my best regard to mother and father. I now this letter has not much news but i wrote you some big letter which you hae

Love + Kisses from your only,
Dave
