My Dearest Fanny,
Your most welcome letter to hand and shure was glad to here from my dear sweetheart. Your letter of December 8th to hand and shure do enjoy your letter, infact, I read them over and over to be shure I don’t miss anything. I am so cusous (curious) to see what is in your letter and when I am through I wish they were longer if cause I love you so much I can write and explain and you beiung so far away from your love and me being so far away from my dear little girl that what makes me want such a long letter because I get some-times rather lonesome for my dear Fanny.
Honey I was just singing a song of my own and this is what contains. I wish you were here tonight because I am so lonesome for you that is something like the song you sing dear waiting. Well dear I call up Fanny B and she was not at home but I talk to her mother and they are all well and are busy at the store on account of being so near Christmas. You now dear the store are only allowed to be open from 1am till 6pm with the exception of Grocery Butcher Drug Store and Necessary Store. The Kohn Fanny B mother said give my regards and she said Fanny want to take some cookies to the wounded soldiers. They want me to come out but I can this week and I don’t know but I don’t think I can before xmas.
Well dear your ring is getting fixed up and shure is going to be swell. I now you will shure like it and as soon as it is ready I will send it to your because I want you to have it. Sunday I am going out to Wlasky House. I wish you were here so we could go side by each (as the fellow said). Honey I wanted to send you a box of candy but so far did not get time but I will try and get one on the way so you can have it for the first of the week. And sunday I will have my picture taken so you can have one before Christmas. I hope they will turn out good. I will think of you while I am haveing them taken so I know I will have a big smile on.
Honey we are busy at the store and I shure have been going some this week. You see dear when it so cold the people don’t come to the market the call up on the phone and that makes so much more work for your lover if cause I don’t mind that all I do is think of you and it don’t seem like anything. Honey so many think because I was away I got married and I shure do have a big smile on my face and say not yet haha.
The weather is not so cold today. I shure had my truble with my Ford yesterday keeping it from freezing. It shure was cold. The water would freeze while the car was running. You know we had eight below so Richard is gone and there is no one home to tease you. Soon Ben will be home and then you will get plenty teasing. That letter where Ferd wrote in the man Marie is that his wife girl has she a girl that old that can write a letter like that. So you had a big fire well that is to bad 2 firemen lost their lives. Yes next Tuesday I will be getting wine. i must be there at 4:30pm the whole bunch is going to be there. I guess I will get good and plenty what ever it going to be.
I said to Judy are you going to be there, he said I would not miss it for anything.
Yes dear I am shure we will be as happy as all wish us and maybe more happy. I know I will do all I can to make you happy and you will do the same. So there is no reason why we should not get along like children. Yes dear I get one letter each day and I write one each day so it must be the faar(?) train service you want to know if I miss you. I shure do. If you were here I think i would just eat you up. Now what do you think of that.
Yes dear Fuente and Uncle Mike wish you and I much happyness and so did Hattie and Helen and everbody. They are all so kind to me.
Honey I never got the clipping and I had a letter Tuesday from home and I told them sure not to forget to send the clipping as soon as I get it I will send it to you and if they send it to you, you send it ot me. Bertha said in her letter there is not much news. And they wanted to know how you were and how I am and to give their bes tto all of you and that my father was coming home next week if he don’t change his mind. In fact she wrote nothing so I told her to write more and that Frieda should write too, so I expect if they got my letter to day I will get a letter by Saturday.
So you and mother was talki ng about me and it was all nice thing. Gee I wish I was hiding behind adoor and could hear it and then when you were finish talking about rush for your and set you on my knee and give you about 50-11 kisses and hugs. Know would you like that.

I said you knew just as quick as anyone else, then Mrs Kahn said you were engaged before you went to Coffeyville. I said no but she get so excited and think she know all. Well they all congratulate me and said I getting into a good family and ect. I said they are the nicest people in the country. Uncle Kohn from Southfort Ave was there.
