My Dearest Fanny,
Your dandy letter to hand and shure was glad to here from you dear. I just gave the biggest kiss, see what you are missing for not being here. Well dear this is the first day of the new year. I had a real good year last year. I have accomplish quite a few thing the one big thing is where I meet you and become engaged. Just see how happy we are and are happyness is young it grow and become more happyer. Well I shure wish one thing I were with you because these are the day when I shure are longing for you dear. Judy he can go and see his best girl and the best thing I can do is write. Well, there is loots of pleasure in writing and reading letter. Your letter of the 29th to hand and it shure was a dandy letter. Yes dear, I say the same as you do. I hope it will not be so many years you or we can be together. It sure will be fine.
Dear I though it was Lester who give you the size but I was ronge(?). Yes dear, Fuente shure was glad to get the goose fat. Yes dear I wish you were here so you could go over to Fuente when I go.
Yes dear today one month we are engaged and dear it seems like six months since I seen you. That is the longest month I ever notice.
Dear I am glad you sang so well and that you received so many compliments. My only wishes is that I can’t be there when you since and to take you home.
Yes dear when i was at Fuente last Monday night Hellen + Dave were there. but Sunday when I was there they went back to their flat to stay awhile. I guess nothing doing for awhile, I played cards last Sunday and lost again. I always loose. I think I will not play no 5¢ limit because I always loose 2 or 3 dollars and in a month it is $10 and for that I can buy myself a pair of shoes or a few shirts. Last sunday I lost $3.05 Dave Mlasky is the luck one he always wins. Well if they want me to play it will be a game that you can play for about four hours and only lose 50 or 75¢.
Yes dear I wish you were here but I hope next New Year we will be one and dear I know this is leap year but there is no chance for no one but you. Yes Irene is Mrs Cohen know I wonder how she likes married life. I wrote them a letter today and wish them lots of good and excuse myself for not writeing sooner.
I supose she will write and tell you the nice letter I wrote them. You said mother turned out the fire and it is getting chilly and if I were there and had my arms around you to help you warm you could write all night. I don’t think you could write at all. So you have regular concert at 309.
Yes dear yesterday was home hard day I put in Suare were some busy, we dont about $700 business and that takes some work for two of us. So i come home last night about 10 O Clock and wash my head, shaved and took a bath. So I would be a clean boy for the new year. Went to bed and slept until 11am, got up and made coffee for Judy and we had each grape fruit and some of your dandy coffee cause cake. mr Judy is also very fond of it. Had my dinner at WEil. They had goose. And come home and have been writing letter and doing some studying now it is going on 7pm and I am not through with your leytter. i told Mrs Weal I don’t think I will be there for supper because one meal is enough there. I not so crazy any more for their meal like I use to be. it is not clean enough for me but keep this to yourself. The reason i say keep it to yourself is because you may write Fanny B and her Dady meets Dr Weil quite often and I don’t want anything to come out. You know I hate dirt people that is one thing you can be is clean ever if you are foar(?). When I am through writing I will mil your letter and get some meat and make my own supper Mrs White is out and I have the flat to my selfe. Judy said I cam getting along well with my lodge work. I will be busy on it this month and I expect to take my second some time this month.
I called up Fanny B after dinner and talk to her a little and she said she got a box of Candy of Ben and she is going to write him this afternoon. Well dear this is four letter I write one home one to Irene and one to Shae Co in Carry PA. I order one pair of shoes from them they are suposed to have such wonderful shoes and this letter to you. So that is enough writing in one day. So I will go to bed early and i don’t care to go anywhere.
I had a short letter from home and the girl have been working over time and are glad the Christmas business is over. Honey I had a letter from my bro and I tell you what he wrote me. He said in his letter since July 25 he went over his stock and made $1000 to the good and besides that he had his lining out of it. He said there is a good af***(?) hero for a second hand and new furniture store but that will take quite a large capital and there can be plenty of money made out of such store for you will be able to under sell the big store and said get a location where the rent will not be so big and do nothing but a cash business and sell cheaply and he goes on and say that we can make quite a future out of it so he goes on and tell that he did not do so bad for the little money he had when he went into the second hand game and for the store he has and he said if you want to come East he will sell out the stock he has and rent a big store in a better location and start up new. And he said if he sold all his stock he has he could raise $2000 and I should put in 2000 and that we could put in a real good stock and we also could get credit of $5000 and give us a good start. Know dear first of all I want to finish up my lodge word and I want to write him and talk it over with him. And tell him I would like to make a change because there is to much work in the meat game if I can get into something else and earn it easier. If I do go let hope it for the best. I will write and tell him I must stay here for awhile and tell him why. I shure hope I get into some thing different because know is the time if I want to try something else.
Well dear, you let me know how you feel about it. I want you to give me your advice on this. Well dear I will be writing till 12 o clock if I don’t stop.
