My dearest Fanny,
Your dandy three letters to hand today dates 8-9-10 of January. I have not much time to write because I going to get some mason work. I getting along real well. Honey last night when I mailed your letter I called up Fuente and she had news for me. You know just about what. Hellen has a little baby girl born at 10am yesterday. and mother and baby are doing fine. Honey what would you suggest I ought to buy and give to the new baby let me know.
I wrote my bro yesterday and today I received another letter from him. he wants to know when I am coming or what I intend to do. Honey I want you to write me what you think and if you think I should give up my position and go East and go into the furniture business with Bro, I will have to put in about $200000. I wrote him a letter just know and told him to tell me if it was a good week salary in the business for us two and if he thought it would be alirght then i will give up my position and come East. But not before next month because I want to stay here and take my third. Now dear I want you to have something to say in this because it mean to you as well as to me some time or later and I don’t want to do something but what it will add to our future. I just wrote tonight and a letter yesterday and told him to give me full details enclosed read bro letter and send it back again. if I get time I will call up Fuente and find out how Hellen is and the baby and give your best. Fuente wanted me to come out last night said a cousin was there from Levensworth. i guess that is Irene Bro. I wonder how Irene likes married life. but dear I did not feel good so I stayed at home and took good care of my selfe so I would be alright. I thought if I get sick you must come and take care of me but thank god I am alright. My love to all and oodles and oodles to you dear fro your sweethearrt David.
