My dearest sweeatheart,

Your dear card to hand and sure was glad to here from you. Especially since you are sick. I sure was worried about you yesterday because I did not received any mail. i thought you were much sicker and were unable to write so last night before I went to lodge I called up Taunte to find out if they had heard and Taunte said she had a letter from your mother saying you were some better but if cause I did not feel right till I received the card you wrote me Monday which I got today. When I was coming home to night from the store I was thinking gee but it will be nice to come home to my dear wife. Come home to one who really and truly love me and then the verfy first thing you get is one big kiss and then I wash my dirty face and hands and then we eat. I can just picture this. i expect you have often thought of the same.

Mrs Findeisen called me up today and invited me out Sunday for 130pm dinner and Jack also. I will stay till 4 or 5pm and then go to Schormann for supper. Hattie invited Sunday when I was up at Tuante and said she wants me to come because she is going to have the whole bucnh. So dear now you know where I will be and eat Sunday. I only wish yo were here to come along. They sure would be surprised. Well dear I glad to know you are getting better and my mind or thought were in Coffeyville and I am in Chicago that all I was doing thinking of you but know since I got your card and you are getting better that make me feel so much better. I hope you will be OK soon so you can go out. Well dear this is going to be a short letter because I want to mail it and get to bed early because last night it was very late and I was cery sleepy this AM. My best to Mother and Dady and the boys.

Many hugs from your sweetheart David

Hope I get a real letter soon! xxxooo
