My dearest lover,
Your Dandy letter to hand of Feb 4th and sure was glad to get a letter from you dear. Because it seems like one month since I had a letter if cause I know only the last two or three day you sent me cards and no doubt I ought to be thankful that I received cards from my dear as sick as you were. but dear I sure am glad you are getting better and that you can be up and around the house. I wish you were here so I could talk to you my dear. Gee but this is one lonesome life me to be here and you so far away and that you had to get sick and I could not be in the midst. Honey there are lots of friends I have but there is no one could take your place to satisfied the feeling in my heart. Honey Jack is about my closest friend i have and I see him so little because he work from 4pm till 11pm. So you see I am sleeping when he is working and when he sleeps then I am working. the most of his time he is spending with his Mary. Honey I going to tell you something if cause I am the only one who know and know that I am telling you keep it to your selfe. Jack told me the other day that he is haveing a wedding ring madeand he entends to get married Saturday Feb 28th if nothing prevents so dear you ar enot supposed to know nothing of it. but you are going to be my future wife some of these day that is why I want you to know. Jack said to me when we are married should I send Fanny an announcement why I said sure I told Jack I I like your nerve beating me to it. He is not buying Mary a diamond. I don’t think he has the money he is getting her a greenish gold wedding ring. he is going to let me see it when it is finished dear. Mary and a girl friend have a small apartment together and this other girl is a nurse and she is going to take a position down in Houston Texas and if cause Mary could not keep the flat by herselfe so they agree to get married and live there for awhile till they get settled. Mary is going to keep on working. Jack he wants to get away from the CO. so they will keep the little apartment till Jack find out what else he can get into that he would like.
Gee dear I will be glad when we are in our little nest. I am waiting on a letter from my Bro.The girl wanted to know in there letter if you were going to come east with me. So I must write them a letter when I am through with yours and explain that if thing turn out ok in the East then I will come for my dear and we will get married. Don you think that is the best or can’t you wait. Honey take good care of yourself have you lost weight. My love to all and hugs and kisses and much love from your only.
