My dearest Fanny,
Your dandy letter to hand and sure was glad to here from you dear. It sure made me feel good to read in  your letter that you are up and around. I bet you are glad you don’t have to be in bed.
Dear I hope you get rid of your headache and that you get back to feeling like you ought too. We had a little snow to day. Just enough to make it look pretty if cause I don’t care much about the snow you know dear when you write and tell me about having the window open and the weather is so nice lots of sunshine and nice and warm you make me homesick for that part of the country.
I was going out to Fanny B to night but they are going on the South Side visit then I told them I would come some other night but they wanted me to come and go along with them but I said I did want to get home early and get to bed. But I will go out some night and perhaps it will be Sunday.
Honey I wanted to write and asked you if you were getting all my letter. You know I write you six letter each week and either you get them and forget to mention it to me. Honey there was a good looking young lady in the market this evening and she always wants me to wait on her so to night when she paid me for the meat she gave me all penny and she said you don’t mind if I give you all penny  and I said no. I told her I would give them penny to my children. She said how many do you have I said four. Ha ha. Know she think I am married and have only four kids and I am sure one liar.
Honey your letter of the 9th to hand and sure did anyway it only it was so short. So I had to read it over about six times to make believe it was longer. I was to lodge last night. So mother said you look like a skinny rabbit. Yes dear you had lots of time to think and planed and I sure will be glad when you write and tell me what you planned in regards to our wedding and honey what ever you say will be ok with me. I will write more to morrow because I want to go out and collect some money with love and hugs and 50-11 kisses from your sweet heart David. My love to Mom and Dad.
