Your dany letter of Feb 13th to hand and sure was glad to here from you dear. I can’t write in words how much I enjoyed your letter but if you were here I would hug and kiss and love you so much that you could understand how much I enjoyed your sweet letter. I read it three times and I must say it was a dandy letter the best I had since before you were sick if cause dear I knew you were a very sick girl and I would enjoyed if it were only one word saying dear I am get better from your sweetheart because that to me would mean where there is life there is hope. I sure love long so much for you but still I how much does it do good when our wishes are not granted when we want to see each other. I still think if I knew what I knoew today I would not let you gone home because it is tough to have a love and can’t be together some of the day tell me I am out of luck to have a girl and can’t go to see her and i guess dear you feel the same to love me and can’t be near me. So the only thing we can do is write and try and have our letter take the place. Honey you sure do and can write sweet letter to me. I hope you enjoy my letter as much as I enjoy your letter you know dear not just every body can write a good interesting letter but your letter are so sweet. Well let talk about some thing else the weather here has been craazy for the last two day. 7 and 8 below zero! Gee I was thnking Fanny if you were here you would have to stay in the house. Honey you are talking about oxfords the girl are wearing I think they ought to go to a nut factory to have their head examined. It sure if offull today and yesterday I seen some girl have fur coats on straw hats and oxfords no wonder they get sick and pass away they realy take their own life and let hope dear you would not do such crazy things. Style or no style keep yourselfe dressed warm. I was out to Kohn and sure do enjoy myselfe I feel so much at home when I out there that I hardly can break away I sure had a nice time and had supper there. Fanny has a new Victorla now she is proud for she wanted one for xmas. Sophie was there and I sure had my fun between the three of us. I wonder who is the most lovesick. We were telling about our letter we receive from our lovers. Fanny B sure is a sweet girl and tell Ben everything is 22 Karot and Fanny B is awaiting a letter from Ben and I told Fanny B she get a letter to day from Ben and if she don’t I lose my bet which is 25¢. Sophie read us one letter she received from her sweet heart, he is in NY.
So honey if your ears burned a lot you may know your lover was talking about you. All such sweet thing. I told Fanny that we may live know in Chicago and Ben to Fanny B would live in one flat and Fanny C and I would live in the other and she is so happy. Honey i read over you letter which you wrote on the 8 of Feb and it was a real nice letter you said you were blue and you wish I were there so you could put your arm around my neck and hug and kisss me. Well dear I wish that were true and you go on and say that you were tired of being in bed and wish you could get up which I at that time wish too. Well dear I am glad you are getting stronger and hope you will have nice sunshine weather so you can go out and enjoy the sun and air but dear I want you to take care of your selfe. You must think of your folks and your lover.
Fanny B was saying yesterday that she hope we all could be together well I said I hope so too she is awaiting for Ben to come to Chicago, tell him to make it snappy like they would say in the army. Honey I counted all your letter you sent to me and with today letter I have 125 letter. When I get old and gray and can’t work then I will read your letter over then I will feel young again.
Tomorrow night is lodge night and I going early to bed because last night it was 1px till I hit the hay. Yes I left Kahn at 8pm and went to Tante and from there I went over to Dave house and played cards. The ??? were there and I lost again and they are all fine and send their love and little Gertrude sends her love. She is a real cut for a five week old baby and she had a good pair of hugs. I told Hattie if our kids cry I would put them in the box and she laugh. Honey I wrote the folks and told them you were sick and they should write to you so you don’t get to lonesome. So dear you write when you are stronger. Honey I must buy Jack a wedding present. I wonder what shall I buy. You suggest something dear he is all ready to get married saturday one week on the 28th.
Yes dear one ???? of fermentation is worth a few pounds of cure so dear be good and take good care of your selfe. Give my love to mother and Dady and Ben and Rich if he is home and 50-11 kisses hugs and loves from your lover David
