Dear Bro Ben,
Your dandy letter of the 6th to hand and shure did enjoy same. I am sorry to keep you awaiting so long for and answer but Ben I am some busy boy so you must excuse me.
First of all I want to thank you ever so much for getting those roses and she told me in nearly every letter she wrote to me that they were wonderful roses. So if you can pick them out as good as that I shall give you the opportunity again. Speaking about roses you sure did pick out some rose when you picked out Fanny B. Say Ben she is some girl just as sweet as you can find them and she is one out of a million and Ben it none of my business but she sure love you and if you love her, you are looking foolish not to come to Chicago as soon as you can get away and talk it over with her folks and become engaged. I know you will like her folks because they are dandy people. I was out at Fanny B house last Sunday and that all she talked about my Ben and she hoped you would come soon so don’t put it off any longer than you can. If cause Ben I am like your sister Love affairs are for the lover only but when you come here I want you to stay with me as much as you can because I have room for you.
Ben I hope you are well and you can expect the same of me. Say you two Ben and Rich Fanny tells me that you two tease her so and don’t let her write to me. Look of for you because I like to get my daily mail from my lover just the same as you like to from Fanny B. Say Ben how is Richard girl.
Yes Ben I wished you could go to the phone and call up your Fanny B and I wished I could do the same but we booth are out of luck. Say Ben I don’t remember of saying to Fanny B that you had another girl and if I did I was onyl kidding, you know me. I want to do good for you if any and glad to know you are going through the chapter. Let me here from you how the land lays and be good from your bro Dave.
My regards to Rich tell him not to do something I would not do.
