My dearest Fanny,
Good mroning your special delivery letter came at 9am. If cause I did not expect it but I like to be surprised if cause I first did not know who it was from and was wondering who me a special D letter. Well if you were here I would give you 100-22 kisses for being so thoughtfull. Well thanks for the special letter this is the first time I believe I ever got a special from you on a Sunday so I call it a treat.
Yes dear I got your letter of the 11th Saturday at noon so I got one letter for each day this last week.
So you are through buying all you need. well I guess you are glad because buying is not an easy thing because they asked two or three prices for everything you want to buy. I will go downtown one half of day this week or rather for 2 or 3 hours and try and get what I neede. It is so hard for me to get away and when I do get a few hours off it don’t give me much time to buy and look around and be sure I am getting what I really want and that will suit me, but when we are married when that is your job to buy what I neede in shirts and ect. because I don’t care for the job because I has so little time to do it. Eveyrhting is sure high well they tell me thing are going to be still higher this coming fall so I think I will buy all I neede for next few years till then thing may be going back to morrow so Mrs. Litman wanted to know all but she must wake up early if she wants to find anything out of you that you don’t want her to know it sorry how nosey some folks are and what good do they have out of it if cause you find them kind where ever you go it the same thing here. I here much talk in the market when the old hens get together.
I never heard you say about Logans that sounds Irish, you tell Mrs. Litman your lover got one wooden leg and he can’t dance. Yes dear, I going to the dance but honey its been some years since I have danced and I expect I be real green on the floor but I think I can dance the two step and waltz and must try and get on to the new dances if I can’t dance then we will play cards and I will try and make it a pleasant evening for Danny B. I wish you were here then you would be the one to go. I think it nice to go these affairs. So you would trust me to the end of the world. Thank you. And I would do the same trust you to the end of the world.
By the 18th of April you will not be in Coffeytown you will be with your lover. Well dear I don’t know where we will go for a few week but real I have been to busy to think about it but we will find some place and if we don’t find of any place until I get down there probably then we can plan where we will go. We will find some place so I am not going to worry my head about that but in the week time if you want to and know of some place try and find out is what, this time of the year it is easier to get hotel recommendation than it will be later on. When the hot weather comes but as I said before we will find a good place and if we get a place and it don’t suit us we neede not to stay because money talks.
We have a cuple staying here at the flat for about 4 or 5 weeks they will be here they are from Columbus Ohio and drove here in there auto. They just have a room and eat whereever they please they have the room Jack had when he was here. Yes driving down there would be to much like work when we got thing nice then we will buy an auto and some day some time we will drive to Coffeyville together. What do you say so much Ford is a (???). Yes Uncle Gus was here but I did not get to see him. Tante told me when he comes she would call me up and wanted me to come over but maybe it best this way.
Yes you are my Kansas girl. I never dreamed I ever marry a western girl but it seem Jack and my fate are about the same for Kansas girl. Jack called me up about 11am and I talk to him and mary and if cause you were the first they asked about. They are very ahppy and were tickle each other so I did not get to talk or understand much and they were just going to have breakfast so I told them they should eat first then call me back in and hour Jack said he wish I were there to have breakfast and he said Mary was tickleing his toes and I said if Mary was playing with his toes I was glad I did not neede to eat there. Then they laugh. Jack is coming over this week to see me and we are going to have lunch together.
Honey I never read my letter over you must make out of them the best you can and honey I write big letter but what I write may not interest you but I don’t always know what to write. Hides went up 10 cents also on calves. and other hides went up six cents a b(??) to (??). so if your Dady has lots on hand that will suit him real well. Asked Ben what they have been paying for hides. They are now paying 18 cents for steer hides and 52 cents for calves hides. Honey how does hides sound in love letter, haha. Well you would write me about Jack so what is the difference. well this is a spring day and the sun is shining from early this am. I hope we have some real spring weather know that the wetter days are over so you talked about me so much well be sure you don’t misrepresent me, are how you spell it you know what I mean. I can whistle it. If you don’t believe me wait till I come down there.
Yes dear I don’t want my friends to think as much about you asI do. Then I would get gelleous of you. I still have about 1/4 of a f(????) of thje cake you send me. I will have that some time with a cup of tea. Honey I seen that show here Parlor Bedroom and Bath. It fair.
Honey what is the rouble with this Tay(?) guy. Now Mrs. White is saying the Fanious fease waiting so I can’t write, I must just listen.
Honey you will not neede any sheets or pillow cases. Mrs. White furnihses everything all that I neede to do is Furnish the girl. So I would say all that you neede is your big trunk. Honey don’t forget to take some of your music along when on our honey moon only a few sheets so it don’t get too sloppy. So you can sing me to sleep, ha ha.
Yes I guess lots will say there goes Eisman and his brand new bride. Well dear I answered your two letter in this one letter. You will have to stay up half of the night to read it. I am glad you are well and happy and be good if you can and I will do like weis. Give my love to mother and Dad and the bros and you dear about one thousand kisses hugs and love from your one and only. Good bye sweetheart. Must get ??? and dressed.
