My dearest seet heart,
Your dandy letter to hand of the 22nd and was glad to know that you are well. Honey I wrote you a little letter last night when I come home and I was so tired I could not tell you but I thought I had to write you a few lines anyway. See dear but I was tired when I got up this a.m it took a few hours till I got limbered up and I sure was tired all day so I am just as tired now and when I have your letter written I will take a hot bath and hot lemonade and go to bed because I have some cold since Sunday. I don’t see where I got it but it seem everybody had a cold I talk to so I am glad I have a cold because it must be style and I want to be in style since I will be married in three week from to day. The love sick man was just in my room teasing me and started singing wedding and he wanted to know what time I come home this am and when I got to bed. So I told him what time I got to bed and that I wrote you a letter before I went to bed and he said that was true devotion . I said that is me.
Jack was here today and had lunch with me. I took him up the street and we had a nice lunch and then come back to the store and he stayed there with me till about 3pm. Then he had to go downtown and from there to work. I am invited out to his apartment Sunday for a five o’clock dinner. I guess it will only be Mary Jack and your lover. Wish you were here to go with me. Mary and Jack send their best. And to morrow I am going to meet Jack down town and he is going with me to buy some clothes. I going to meet him at 2pm to day I bought a new shirt a dandy one.
Honey it has been raining all day and very hard and it still is raining down.
Honey I am getting a list ready of those who I want to send announcement to and as soon as I have it read I will send it to you.
Honey I sure was busy to day and this afternoon I was alone in the market and they just rushed me to dutch, and to morrow will be another busy day and I am so tired that is why I want to get to bed at 9pm if I can and get rested up so I can the orders out that I can get downtown. I had to chace the love sick man out of my room because he tease me so and I could not write.
Honey you want to know why I wronte your mom(?) …. well that is the new way and the old way is ????(maybe dandy?) so I just thought I would see if you noticed some. I am glad you wrote the folks because they wanted to know why you did not write Lester was in the market to see me yesterday. So you are a good little girl well that is why I want you and you were up early Monday sorting things that you are going to leave and take with you. Yes dear I know by one experience some 4 Sunday ago what the blues is. I had it that day so I can sympathize with you. But I am glad you are over it. And that ever one say from know on with loving you more and more. Happyness the man from Kansas City whou bought that hotel was here Monday to drive his auto back to Kansas City and stopped in at the store to see me and said he wish I could go along with him back. He said he is doing fine and he has a $10,000 job besides his hotel a year. And he wants me to look him up when we get there. Yes dear I remember the swift dollar. Well dear we will find a place and can talk it over when I come down. Now dear this is all for this time and I want to get to bed early from your only to his only. Love kisses and hugs.
